Drop in a document. Read it, question it, mark it up, together.

Ask Your Documents reads PDFs, Word documents and text files into a library you can question. Every answer cites the page it came from. Highlight and comment as you read, ask your agent to go through a long document and mark what matters, compare documents side by side, and bring colleagues into the same reading. Make it your own in plain language: a legal document reader against your checklist, a proposal reviewer or a research desk.

What it does

What you get

What it needs

Whenever you drop something in. A thousand pages reads in the background.

Every answer names its pages, so you check it rather than trust it.

Who runs it

One copy, read by everybody. Comments land on the passage rather than in a forwarded email, and the next person to ask gets the same library.

Questions

What can I upload?
PDFs, Word documents and text files. A thousand-page PDF is fine: it uploads in slices and is read in the background, and becomes searchable as soon as it is indexed.
What happens to a scan with no text in it?
It fails by name and says so. It is never indexed as an empty document, because a document that answers nothing looks identical to one nobody asked about.
How do I know an answer is right?
Every answer names the pages it was built from, and you can open the same search it ran. The point is that you check it rather than take it on trust.
Can the agent mark up a document for me?
Yes. Ask it to go through a document and mark every liability cap, or anything that differs from your standard terms. The marks land as highlights you and your colleagues can reply to.
Can it invite people for me?
It records the ask and hands it to your agent. The app cannot grant anybody access to itself, so an invite rests as handed over rather than claiming it was sent.
What is it searching, exactly?
Two searches fused: meaning, and the literal terms that meaning is worst at, like clause numbers and figures. Both run over the text the app extracted.

Ask the contract instead of reading it twice.

Install it, name the library, and drop the first document in.
