Linear connector

Linear supports a workspace connection made by an admin and a personal link any member can make. Personal links need no admin setup first.

Linear works like Notion (see Notion connector): both a workspace connection and a personal link, and the personal link has no precondition.

Workspace connection

A workspace owner or admin connects the team's Linear workspace. Connecting it requires admin permission on the Linear side too. Changes made through this connection are attributed to the Bolter app in Linear, not to the installing admin. Admins approve grants on it for the workspace's agents.

Personal link

Any member can link their own Linear account, in any workspace, without any admin setup first. Actions through a personal link happen as you in Linear. The link stays private to you: only your own private agents can be granted it, with your approval, in a one to one chat (see How account linking flows work).

Access

Grants carry a read or read and write choice. A read grant lets an agent query issues, projects, and teams; writing, such as creating issues or comments, requires a grant that opted into write access.
