The Library

One list of every app, file and artifact in your account, across every workspace, with search, type and workspace filters and a pinned block at the top.

Library sits between Chats and Notifications on the sidebar, and it is one list of everything in your account that is not a chat, across every workspace you are in. Three kinds of thing go in it.

• Apps: the web apps your agents have built, in any of your workspaces.
• Files: things saved into a workspace's files, so they have a home you can go back to. Documents, presentations and diagrams all land here.
• Artifacts: things an agent made inside a chat and never filed anywhere, so the chat is where they live.

Every other way to reach these things is somewhere you have to be first: a workspace's Files and apps tab, the panel beside one chat, a project. The Library is the version of that question you can ask from anywhere, so it is filed beside your chat list rather than inside a workspace. See Finding your way around for the rest of the sidebar.

The Library icon is not on the sidebar until there is something in it. It appears on its own once your account holds its first app, file or artifact, which for most people is the first thing an agent makes for them, and it stays from then on.

Opening a row

Clicking a row opens the thing, and leaves the panel up beside it so the next one is a click away. An app or a workspace file opens in that workspace's Files and apps tab, which is where it lives. An artifact has no home but the chat that made it, so it opens on a surface of its own: the document, the diagram or the deck itself, with a button at the top right that takes you to its chat when you want the conversation around it.

The list is one run in order of what changed most recently, whatever kind each row is, so the thing you were working on an hour ago is near the top. Each row says what it is under its name, along with the workspace or the chat it lives in.

Long lists load a page at a time. When there is more than the panel is showing, a Load more button sits at the end; once there is nothing left to load, the panel says how many things it is showing instead.

Pinning what you keep coming back to

Anything you keep coming back to can be pinned to the top. Hovering a row pops a pin out at the panel's right edge, level with that row, the same place the tick and the cross sit on the rows that can be taken off a list; pressing it lifts that row into a Pinned block above the rest of the list. Hovering a row that is already up there gives you the same button, filled, to take it back down, where recency puts it. On a phone, swipe a row left to do the same thing, or hold it to see what the swipe does before you commit to it.

Pinned rows are held in the order you pinned them, newest first, and they are taken out of the main run so nothing appears twice. You can pin up to fifty things.

Your Library pins are yours. Nobody else sees them, they follow you to any device you sign in on, and they survive the filters: narrowing by name, type or workspace narrows the pinned block the same way it narrows everything else. This is a different list from the apps pinned to the sidebar, so pinning an app here does not put it on the sidebar, and pinning one there does not lift it in the Library.

Narrowing the list

Three controls narrow the list, on the line under the panel's title.

• The box filters by name, and it searches everything you have, not just the rows already on screen, so something you made months ago is one search away. It matches the chat or workspace a thing came from as well as its name. Type at least two letters. Pressing Escape while there is text in the box clears the box rather than closing the panel.
• The type picker beside it starts on All, and can be set to apps, files or artifacts. Each choice shows how many rows it would leave, counted after the box and the workspace filter, so a choice never turns out to be empty.
• The funnel narrows the list to a single workspace, the same way the Chats panel's does. It is separate from the chat list's filter, so narrowing what you are looking through here does not change which chats you see.

The Library's filters last for as long as you are in the app and reset on your next visit, so a list that came back missing things is never a mystery.
